Trip history and attendance
When a place records attendance, NexaRide shows when each rider got on and off the bus.
How the bus records it
Attendance is recorded automatically by the bus, not by you:
- Bus camera – a camera on the bus recognises the rider's face. A clear face photo of the rider helps (see "Riders").
- Bus tag – a small keychain in the school bag that the bus notices when the rider gets on and off (see "Bus tags").
- The place's staff can also mark attendance themselves.
Which of these your place uses is up to the place. If the place records no attendance, the rider's page shows only the next ride under Today, and there is no Trip history.
Today
Open the rider's page (tap them in Me › My riders). The Today card shows:
- Got on the bus · 07:42 – with the stop and how it was recorded ("seen by bus camera" or "seen by bus tag")
- Got off the bus · 08:15 – with the route
- On board or Absent – when the place marked the rider without exact times
If nothing was recorded today, it says "No trips yet today."
Below that, the card shows the next ride ("Next: Morning · Route 3 tomorrow, 07:15") or the ride that is on now.
Earlier trips
On the Today card tap Trip history. The sheet "name · trip history" shows the last 30 days, grouped by day. To see older trips, tap Show earlier at the bottom; it loads older trips step by step until there are no more ("No earlier trips").
Alerts when a rider gets on or off
When the bus records that the rider got on or off, you also get an alert, if phone alerts are on (see "Alerts and notifications").
Common questions
The history is empty but my child rides the bus every day. Your place may not record attendance, or the rider's photo or bus tag isn't set up. Ask the place how they record attendance.
The time is wrong or a trip is missing. Attendance comes from the bus camera, the bus tag or the place's staff. Contact the place to correct it.
How far back can I see? The sheet opens with the last 30 days. Tap Show earlier to go further back.
