Trips Report

The Trips Report lists every trip your vehicles made. A trip runs from the moment a vehicle starts moving until it stops. For each trip you get when and where it started and ended, the distance, duration, average and top speed, odometer, fuel and driver, and you can see its route on the map.

Running the Report

  1. Open Reports and pick Trips. Click the report name at the top to switch to another report at any time. Your vehicles and period are kept.
  2. Vehicles: pick one or more vehicles (search by name, plate or device, or Select all).
  3. Groups (optional): ticking a group adds every vehicle in it, subgroups included.
  4. Period: pick a preset or choose dates on the calendar. A report covers up to 31 days at a time.
  5. Click Show report.

After the report runs, the filters fold into a short line. Click Change to edit them.

Totals Cards

The cards at the top add up all trips in the report:

  • Trips — how many, and across how many vehicles
  • Distance — with the vehicle that drove the most
  • Avg Speed — the mean of the trips' average speeds
  • Max Speed — with the vehicle that reached it
  • Duration — with the average per trip
  • Spent Fuel

There's a card for each number column you have switched on. Click the pin on a card to keep it first.

Trip List

Trips are grouped by vehicle. Each trip shows:

  • Start Time and End Time
  • Distance
  • Avg Speed and Max Speed
  • Start Address and End Address — click Show address to look them up
  • Odometer Start / Odometer End (hidden by default)
  • Duration
  • Spent Fuel
  • Driver (hidden by default) — the driver identified for the trip, when the device reports one

A long list shows the first trips of each vehicle; click Show N more to see the rest. Expand all / Collapse all opens or closes every vehicle, and Find vehicle or driver filters the list.

Trip Route on the Map

Click the pin on a trip (Show the trip on the map) to open its route in the panel beside the list:

  • The route is colored by speed (see the legend).
  • Click another trip to show its route instead.
  • Click any point on the route for the vehicle's status at that moment, and See details for everything the device reported.
  • Press Play on the map to watch the trip play back.

Columns

Click Columns to choose what you see. Vehicle is always shown. Your choice is saved separately for desktop and phone.

On a Phone

  • Trips appear as cards grouped by vehicle; the ticked columns show on each card.
  • Tap a trip to open its route full screen. Previous and Next move through the trips (Trip 3 of 12), and Back to trips returns to the list.
  • The ⋯ menu holds Export to Excel, Print and Schedule this report.

Export and Print

  • Export to Excel downloads the trip list as a spreadsheet.
  • Print opens a printable version of the list.

Scheduling

Click Schedule (on a phone, ⋯ → Schedule this report) to have this report emailed automatically. A panel opens over the report, filled in with the vehicles and groups on screen. Choose how often it repeats, the send time, start and end dates and the recipients, then click Create schedule. You stay on the report.

Each run emails one Excel file with the trips and a route map. See Scheduled Reports for all the options.

Use Cases

  • Route verification: confirm vehicles drove their assigned routes
  • Time analysis: compare trip durations with the timetable
  • Incident review: look at a specific trip in a dispute or after an accident
  • Efficiency: find unusually long trips or high speeds

No Data Found

If the report comes back empty, it shows No data found with a Try the previous day button. Check that:

  • The vehicles were active during the period
  • The right vehicles or groups are selected
  • The GPS devices are set up and reporting
