Live Tracking

The Tracking page shows all your vehicles on a map, moving live as their devices report. Positions, statuses and readings update on their own; there's no need to refresh the page.

Layout

On a computer, the page is a full-screen map with:

• The vehicle panel on the left: search and the vehicle list.
• Map controls on the right.
• The vehicle card at the bottom of the map when a vehicle is selected.
• Vehicle details and Map alerts opening as panels on the right.

Vehicle Panel

The top of the panel shows how many vehicles you have and how many are online.

• Search vehicle or device: type a vehicle name, device name or plate. The list filters as you type.
• Filters, sort and export (the sliders button) opens more options (see below). A dot on the button means a filter is on.
• Hide list folds the panel so only the map is left; click it again to bring the list back.

When filters are on, a line under the search says what's being shown (for example Showing 5 · Group: North), with Clear to reset them.

Vehicle Rows

Each row shows:

• Icon in a colored circle: the vehicle's category (bus, car, truck…) and its movement status (see below)
• Name and its sub-label (license plate, device name or another field you chose in your preferences)
• Online or how long ago it was last seen
• Icons on the right: fuel level and driving performance score (when fuel or score sensors are set up), ignition and battery (when the device reports them), the vehicle's status if it isn't Active (In Repair, Sold…), and a lock on vehicles not included in your plan

Hover an icon to see its value. Locked vehicles can't be opened.

Movement Status

The same color is used for the vehicle's marker on the map and the badge on its card.

Filter, Sort and Export

The Filter & sort panel has:

• Device Status: Online, Offline and Unknown badges, each with its count. Click one to show only those vehicles, click it again to show all
• Vehicle Status: Active, In Repair, Sold and the other statuses (only when some vehicle isn't Active)
• Group: only when your devices are in groups
• Sort By: Default (the order vehicles were added), Name or Last update
• Filter the map too: hide vehicles that don't match from the map, not just from the list
• Export to Excel: downloads exactly the vehicles the list shows, with search, filters and sort applied: name, sub-label, device status, vehicle status and group
• Clear resets every filter

Your filters and sort are remembered for next time. If you selected a vehicle and the filters then hide it (with Filter the map too on), its card closes.

The Map

Each vehicle is a round marker with its category icon, colored by movement status, with an arrow for its heading. A label above the marker (name, plate, driver and so on) can be chosen in Account Settings → Map. Vehicles close together merge into a numbered cluster that splits as you zoom in.

Moving vehicles glide smoothly from one position to the next instead of jumping, and catch up within about a second of each update. Behind the selected vehicle, a short live trail shows its last 20 positions.

When the page opens, the map zooms to fit your vehicles.

Map Controls

From top to bottom:

• Map alerts (bell): the number shows alerts received since you opened the page (see Map Alerts below)
• Search an address: type an address and press Enter, then pick a result to move the map there
• Measure distance: turn the ruler on and click the map to add points; the distance is shown as you go
• My location: centers the map on where you are (your browser asks for permission the first time)
• Map style and overlays: pick the map style (Yandex, 2GIS, Google Road, Google Hybrid, Google Satellite, LocationIQ Streets, LocationIQ Dark) and turn on overlays: Geofences, Live trails, and traffic or weather layers where available. Your choices are remembered.
• Zoom in / Zoom out
• Full screen: the whole page goes full screen; it ends when you leave the page or press Esc

Selecting a Vehicle

Click a vehicle in the list or its marker on the map. The map moves to it and keeps following it while it drives, and its card opens at the bottom of the map.

On narrower screens such as tablets, the vehicle list moves aside on its own when there's no room for the card next to it. Open it again with the list button.

Vehicle Card

The card shows:

• The vehicle's name, sub-label and movement status
• Speed
• Fuel (when fuel sensors are set up) and Performance, the driving score (when score sensors are set up)
• Online now, or Last seen with how long ago
• The current address, when known

And these actions:

• Reports: opens a list of reports for this vehicle; each one opens for today and runs straight away. Only the reports you have access to are listed.
• Replay: opens the Replay report for this vehicle (needs the Replay permission)
• Video: live video from a dashcam (see below)
• Commands: send a command to the vehicle's tracker and see its reply (see below)
• See details: everything the device reports (needs the details permission)

Close the card with ×. Esc closes the details or alerts panel.

Live Video

For dashcams that support live video (JT/T 808 devices with JT/T 1078 video), a Video button appears on the card. It also needs access to devices.

• Pick the camera channel (1–4) at the top of the player.
• The stream starts when the player opens and stops when you close it. Only one channel plays at a time.
• If the camera doesn't answer within a few seconds (powered off, no signal), the player says it couldn't connect.

Regular GPS trackers without a camera don't show the button.

Commands

With permission to send commands, a Commands button appears on the card. It lists the saved commands linked to the vehicle's device or its group. Pick one and click Send. A vehicle with no saved commands shows a link to the Commands page. Commands that change the vehicle (outputs, engine block, odometer …) ask for confirmation first.

Below are the latest commands sent to the vehicle with their status: Sent, Queued (the tracker is offline), Delivered, Replied with the tracker's answer, No reply or Failed. They update live. Send one command at a time: a reply is matched to the oldest command still waiting.

Vehicle Details

See details opens a panel with everything known about the vehicle, live:

• Vehicle: status and reason, make, model, year, plate, VIN, type, capacity and notes
• Device: name, IMEI, phone, contact, category, model, group and expiration
• Sensors: fuel readings per sensor (and the total when there are several) and driving scores
• Position attributes: every other value the device sends (ignition, satellites, voltage, odometer…). On a Teltonika FMB140 or FMC130, numbered readings show their name and real value, with the number and the raw reading under it (for example Fuel level, litres 123.4 l — io84 · 1234 × 0.1). Readings with set states show them in words — Closed, Fastened, On — and Door status lists what's open (Open: front left, trunk). Fields the tracker sends as an IO, like Ignition (io239), show that IO under their name. On these trackers the field usually called Door is Central locking (io662) — it tells whether the car is locked, not whether a door is open.

Vehicle, Device and Sensors start folded — click a heading to open or close its section. A sensor shows its last reading from the past 6 hours, even when the latest record left it out; with none it shows N/A. Use Search a value at the top to find a field; while you search, every section opens. Click the pin next to a position attribute to keep it at the top of its section; pins are remembered in this browser, on every page that opens these details. The panel keeps updating while it's open.

Map Alerts

When a notification rule has Show on map turned on, its alerts flash on the vehicle's marker with a short sound while the Tracking page is open. Set them up on the Notifications page.

The Map alerts button opens the list of alerts received during this visit (the last 50 are kept):

• Search alerts to filter them
• Click an alert to open the Events report for that vehicle, filtered to the same event type (if you have access to the Events report)
• Dismiss one with ×, or Clear all

You only get alerts for vehicles you can see on the page. The list is empty again next time you open the page. The sound plays only after you've clicked or typed on the page once; that's a browser rule for all sounds.

Live Updates

Positions, statuses, the card, the details panel and the trails all update live. If the connection drops for a moment, or the browser tab was in the background for a while, the page catches up with the latest positions as soon as it's back.

On a Phone

The phone layout is built around the map:

• There's no header; the map fills the screen. The vehicle list and Map alerts buttons come first among the map buttons. Pinch to zoom; there are no zoom or full screen buttons.
• The vehicle list sits in a sheet at the bottom, with the vehicle count and how many are online at its top. Drag it up for the full list, or down to see more map; swiping up on the list itself opens it fully too. It has the search box and quick filters Moving, Idling, Parked and Offline.
• Filter & sort opens the same options as on a computer, including Export to Excel.
• Tapping a vehicle opens its card in the sheet, with the same actions. Reports and Map layers open as sheets.
• See details opens the details full screen; Back to map returns.

Permissions

Team owners have everything. Users limited to one client or to certain vehicles only see those vehicles, their alerts, and the geofences assigned to them.

Troubleshooting

• A vehicle isn't on the map: check that it has a device and that the device has reported a position. Vehicles without a device aren't shown.
• A vehicle shows Unknown: its device hasn't sent a status for a long time. It may be switched off or out of coverage.
• No Commands button: you don't have permission to send commands, or the vehicle has no device.
• No Video button: the vehicle's device isn't a video dashcam, or you don't have device access.
• No sound with alerts: click anywhere on the page once; browsers block sound until you do.
