Schools and workplaces (places)

A place is the school, kindergarten, university, hospital, company, factory or other organisation whose buses you use. You must join a place before you can add riders and follow their bus.

Join with a code

1. Open Me and tap Add a school or work (during setup: step 1, Join your school or work).
2. Keep I have a code selected.
3. Type the Place code. The school office or your employer gives you this code. It starts with C-, for example C-XXXX XXXX.
4. When the code is recognised, the app shows the place's name, type, city and number of bus routes. Check that it is the right place.
5. Tap Join (the button shows the place's name, for example "Join School No. 1").

If the app says "No school or workplace has this code", check the code with the office. If it says "You're already in this place", you have joined it before.

Find by city

If you don't have the code:

1. Tap Find by city.
2. Choose Country, Region and City.
3. Pick your place from the list and tap Join.

If you see "No schools or workplaces here yet", your place may not use NexaRide yet, or it may be listed under another city. Ask the office for their code.

Several places

You can join more than one place, for example a school and your workplace. Home shows the riders and buses of one place at a time: the place In use.

To switch:

• On Home, tap the place name at the top, or
• In Me › My places, tap any place.

The Your places sheet opens. Tap the place you want to use. The current place has a check mark and shows how many riders you have there.

Remove a place

1. Open the Your places sheet (tap the place name on Home, or a place in Me › My places).
2. Tap Remove a place…
3. Tap the place you want to remove, then Yes, remove.

You'll stop seeing its buses and riders. You can join again later with its code.

Common questions

Where do I get the place code? From the school office, the kindergarten, or your employer's HR or transport department. It starts with C-.

Is the rider code the same as the place code? No. The place code starts with C- and connects you to an organisation. The rider code starts with P- and lets you ask to follow one specific rider that a family member added. An invite code from the school starts with I- and links you to one rider (see "Riders").

I joined the wrong place. Remove it from the Your places sheet and join the right one.

I can't see my riders after joining a second place. Home shows one place at a time. Tap the place name at the top of Home and switch to the place where your riders are.
