Booking a ride

The Book tab lets you book a vehicle for a one-time trip: an excursion, an event, a transfer to the airport and so on. You don't need to join a school or workplace to book.

A booking is a request. Nothing is final until the transport company confirms it. You get an alert when it does.

There are two ways to book:

Choose the city

Company and vehicle lists show one city at a time. The first time, the app uses your location to preselect your city. Tap the filter button to change Country, Region, City and, for vehicles, Company, then Show results.

If no company offers vehicles in your city, try a nearby city or Show all cities.

Way 1: Tell us where you're going

1. On Book, tap Tell us where you're going (Start).
2. Who should take you? – pick a company. Each card shows its vehicles and a starting price ("From …"), or Price on request.
3. Where are you going? – fill in the request:
   • Pick up and Drop off – tap the card to open the map (see "Choosing places on the map"). At least one of the two is needed.
   • One way or There and back
   • Leave – the date and time. For a return trip also Come back.
   • How many people?
   • Anything the driver should know? (optional) – luggage, child seats, stops on the way…
4. Tap Send request.

You see Request sent! The company will look at it and confirm.

Way 2: Pick a vehicle yourself

1. On Book, tap Pick a vehicle yourself. You see the vehicles you can book, with photo, name, type, seats, company and price.
2. Tap a vehicle. Booking takes 3 steps:
   • Step 1 – Pick your dates. Choose One way (one day) or There and back (a start and an end day). Some vehicles must be booked a number of hours ahead ("Book at least 24 hours ahead"). Tap Next.
   • Step 2 – Pick the times. Choose the start time and, for a return, the return time. Crossed-out times are already booked for this vehicle. Tap Next.
   • Step 3 – Check and send. Check the dates (tap them to change), set Pick up and Drop off, choose a price if the vehicle has several (per trip, per hour or per day), and set People (up to the number of seats).
3. Optional: open More details to add Your company or organisation, Who travels with the group, Their phone and Notes for the driver.
4. Tap Send booking.

Choosing places on the map

On the map screen:

1. Tap the map, or type an address in the search field.
2. The first place you set is the Pick up, the second the Drop off. The app draws the route between them ("Working out the route…").
3. To change one, tap Clear pickup or Clear drop-off first ("Both places are set — clear one to change it").
4. Tap Use these places.

To see where you are, tap the my location button under the layers button (top right). The map moves to you and shows a blue dot. The first time, the app asks to use your location.

Dates and times

• Past times can't be chosen.
• For a return trip, the return must be after the departure.
• Times shown as taken are already booked for that vehicle.

Common questions

Is the booking confirmed when I send it? No. It is a request. The status is Waiting until the company confirms it. You get an alert when it is confirmed.

How do I pay? Payment is agreed with the transport company. When the company marks the booking as paid, its status shows Paid.

Why can't I choose a time? It is in the past, already booked for this vehicle (crossed out), or earlier than the vehicle's minimum booking notice.

I don't see any companies. No company offers vehicles in the selected city. Change the city in the filter or tap Show all cities.

This vehicle can't be booked any more. The company removed it or stopped taking bookings for it. Pick another vehicle (See other vehicles).
