Managing Stops

Stops are specific locations where vehicles pick up or drop off passengers. Each stop has a geofence radius that determines when NexaBus considers a vehicle to have "arrived" at that stop.

Viewing Stops

The Stops table displays the following columns:

  • ID: Unique identifier (hidden by default)
  • Routes: Expandable button to view assigned routes
  • Name: Stop name
  • Address: Physical address of the stop
  • Latitude: GPS latitude coordinate
  • Longitude: GPS longitude coordinate
  • Radius (m): Geofence radius in meters
  • Sync Status: Connection status with visual indicators

On mobile devices, columns like ID, Address, Latitude, Longitude, Radius, and Sync Status are automatically hidden for better readability.

Viewing Assigned Routes

Click the expand button on any stop row to see which routes include this stop:

  • Route Name: Links to the route details
  • Shift Name: The shift associated with the route
  • Time Range: Shift start and end times in HH:MM format

If no routes are assigned, you'll see "No routes assigned" message.

Searching for Stops

Use the search field to find stops. The search works across stop name and address fields. Results update as you type with a slight delay.

Importing Stops from Traccar

Click the Sync button to import geofences from your Traccar server. This creates new stops in NexaBus for each Traccar geofence that doesn't already exist.

Customizing Columns

  1. Click the Columns button above the table.
  2. Check or uncheck columns to show or hide them.

Adding a Stop

  1. Click the Add Stop button.
  2. Fill in the stop details:

Form Fields

  • Name (Required): A descriptive name for the stop (e.g., "Main Street Station")
  • Radius (Required): The geofence radius in meters (default: 100m). When a vehicle enters this radius, it's considered to have arrived at the stop.
  • Address (Required): Select from suggestions or enter manually
  • Latitude/Longitude (Required): Set automatically when clicking the map or selecting an address
  • Description (Optional): Additional information about the stop

Setting the Location

The interactive map makes it easy to place stops accurately:

  1. Pan and zoom the map to find the location.
  2. Click on the exact spot where passengers should be picked up.
  3. A marker appears and the address/coordinates fill in automatically.
  4. Drag the marker to adjust the position if needed.
  5. Adjust the radius based on how precise arrival detection needs to be.

Map Features:

  • Multiple map layer options (Google, OpenStreetMap, Yandex, 2Gis, CARTO)
  • Fullscreen mode available
  • Layer preference is saved for future use
  • Draggable marker for precise positioning

Tip: Use a smaller radius (25-50 meters) for precise locations like building entrances. Use a larger radius (100-200 meters) for general areas like neighborhoods.

  1. Click Create Stop.

Editing a Stop

  1. Find the stop in the table.
  2. Click the actions menu (three dots) in that row.
  3. Select Edit.
  4. Update the name, radius, location, or description.
  5. Click Update Stop.

Deleting a Stop

  1. Find the stop in the table.
  2. Click the actions menu (three dots) in that row.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Warning: Deleting a stop removes it from all routes and passenger assignments that use it.

Understanding Sync Status

Stops sync with the NexaBus tracking server in real-time:

  • Syncing: Spinning icon indicates sync in progress (yellow)
  • Synced: Check icon confirms successful connection (green)
  • Failed: Error icon indicates sync failed - click Retry Sync to try again (red)

Sync status updates automatically without refreshing the page.

Retry Sync

If a stop shows "Failed" status:

  1. Click the sync status button, or
  2. Open the actions menu and select Retry Sync

The stop will attempt to sync again with the tracking server.

Pagination

The table displays 10 stops per page. Use the pagination controls at the bottom to navigate:

  • First and Last page buttons
  • Previous and Next page buttons
  • Current page indicator showing "Showing X to Y of Z"

Permissions

You need the appropriate permissions to add, edit, or delete stops. If these options are not visible, contact your administrator to request access.
