Managing Stops
Stops are specific locations where vehicles pick up or drop off passengers. Each stop has a geofence radius that determines when NexaBus considers a vehicle to have "arrived" at that stop.
Viewing Stops
The Stops table displays:
- ID: Unique identifier
- Name: Stop name
- Address: Physical address of the stop
- Latitude: GPS latitude coordinate
- Longitude: GPS longitude coordinate
- Radius (m): Geofence radius in meters
- Sync Status: Connection status (Pending, Synced, Failed)
Searching for Stops
Use the search field to find stops by name or address. Type your search term and press Enter.
Customizing Columns
- Click the Columns button above the table.
- Check or uncheck columns to show or hide them.
Adding a Stop
- Click the Add Stop button.
- Fill in the stop details:
- Name (Required): A descriptive name for the stop (e.g., "Main Street Station")
- Radius (Required): The geofence radius in meters. When a vehicle enters this radius, it's considered to have arrived at the stop.
- Location: Click on the interactive map to set the stop's location. This automatically fills in:
- Address
- Latitude
- Longitude
- Description (Optional): Additional information about the stop
- Click Create Stop.
Setting the Location
The map makes it easy to place stops accurately:
- Pan and zoom the map to find the location.
- Click/tap on the exact spot where passengers should be picked up.
- A marker appears and the address/coordinates fill in automatically.
- Adjust the radius based on how precise arrival detection needs to be.
Tip: Use a smaller radius (e.g., 25-50 meters) for precise locations like building entrances. Use a larger radius (e.g., 100-200 meters) for general areas like neighborhoods.
Editing a Stop
- Find the stop in the table.
- Click the actions menu (three dots) in that row.
- Select Edit.
- Update the name, radius, location, or description.
- Click Update Stop.
Deleting a Stop
- Find the stop in the table.
- Click the actions menu (three dots) in that row.
