Managing Shifts

Shifts define operating schedules for your routes. A shift specifies when routes operate, including start time, end time, and which days of the week. Routes are assigned to shifts, making it easy to manage schedules like "Morning Route" or "Afternoon Route".

Viewing Shifts

The Shifts table displays:

  • ID: Unique identifier
  • Name: Shift name (e.g., "Morning", "Afternoon", "Night")
  • Status: Enabled or Disabled
  • Start Time: When the shift begins
  • End Time: When the shift ends

Viewing Working Days

Click the expand arrow on any row to see which days of the week the shift operates. If no days are assigned, it shows "No days assigned".

Searching for Shifts

Use the search field to find shifts by name. Type your search term and press Enter.

Customizing Columns

  2. Check or uncheck columns to show or hide them.

Enabling and Disabling Shifts

You can temporarily disable a shift without deleting it:

  1. Edit the shift.
  2. Change the Status to Disabled.
  3. Save the changes.

Disabled shifts remain in the system but routes assigned to them won't operate until the shift is re-enabled.

Permissions

You need the appropriate permissions to add, edit, or delete shifts. If these options are not visible, contact your administrator to request access.
