Trips Report

The Trips Report shows detailed information about individual vehicle trips. A trip is defined as the time between when a vehicle starts moving and when it stops. Use this to analyze when and where vehicles traveled, how far they went, and their speeds.

Generating a Report

  1. Select Vehicles: Choose one or more vehicles from the dropdown
  2. Select Groups (Optional): Choose vehicle groups to include all their vehicles
  3. Set Date Range: Select predefined options (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days) or custom dates
  4. Click Show to generate the report

Trip Details

Each trip in the report shows:

  • Vehicle Name: Which vehicle made the trip
  • Start Time: When the trip began
  • End Time: When the trip ended
  • Duration: How long the trip lasted
  • Distance: Total distance traveled (km)
  • Avg Speed: Average speed during the trip (km/h)
  • Max Speed: Highest speed reached (km/h)
  • Start Address: Where the trip started
  • End Address: Where the trip ended
  • Route: Button to view the trip path on a map

Click the Route button on any trip row to:

  • See the trip path displayed on an interactive map

Scheduling

Use the Schedule this report control next to the export button to have this report run automatically and emailed to chosen recipients — on desktop it's a calendar-icon button, on mobile/tablet it's inside a dropdown menu. It opens the Schedules page pre-filled with the vehicles, groups, and date range currently selected. See Scheduled Reports for the full setup options (recurrence, recipients, etc.).

Use Cases

  • Route Verification: Confirm vehicles followed assigned routes
  • Time Analysis: Check trip durations against schedules
  • Incident Investigation: Review specific trips for disputes or accidents
  • Efficiency Analysis: Identify unusually long trips or excessive speeds

No Data Found

If the report shows no data:

  • Check that vehicles were active during the selected dates
  • Verify the correct vehicles or groups are selected
  • Ensure GPS devices are properly configured and syncing
