Trips Report

The Trips Report shows detailed information about individual vehicle trips. A trip is defined as the time between when a vehicle starts moving and when it stops. Use this to analyze when and where vehicles traveled, how far they went, and their speeds.

Generating a Report

  1. Select Vehicles: Choose one or more vehicles from the dropdown
  2. Select Groups (Optional): Choose vehicle groups to include all their vehicles
  3. Set Date Range: Select predefined options (Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days) or custom dates
  4. Click Show to generate the report

Trip Details

Each trip in the report shows:

  • Vehicle Name: Which vehicle made the trip
  • Start Time: When the trip began
  • End Time: When the trip ended
  • Duration: How long the trip lasted
  • Distance: Total distance traveled (km)
  • Avg Speed: Average speed during the trip (km/h)
  • Max Speed: Highest speed reached (km/h)
  • Start Address: Where the trip started
  • End Address: Where the trip ended
  • Route: Button to view the trip path on a map

Viewing Trip Routes

Click the Route button on any trip row to:

  • See the trip path displayed on an interactive map
  • View the exact route the vehicle took
  • Click Close to hide the map

This is useful for verifying routes, investigating incidents, or analyzing driving patterns.

Exporting Reports

Use the dropdown menu next to the Show button:

  • Export: Download as an Excel spreadsheet
  • Print: Open a print-friendly version

Grouped Results

When you select multiple vehicles or groups, trips are grouped by vehicle. Click the expand arrow to see individual trips for each vehicle.

Use Cases

  • Route Verification: Confirm vehicles followed assigned routes
  • Time Analysis: Check trip durations against schedules
  • Incident Investigation: Review specific trips for disputes or accidents
  • Efficiency Analysis: Identify unusually long trips or excessive speeds

No Data Found

If the report shows no data:

  • Check that vehicles were active during the selected dates
  • Verify the correct vehicles or groups are selected
  • Ensure GPS devices are properly configured and syncing
