Stops Report

The Stops Report shows every time vehicles came to a stop, including where they stopped, how long they were stationary, and whether the engine was running. Use this to monitor idle time, verify scheduled stops, and identify unauthorized stops.

Generating a Report

  1. Select Vehicles: Choose one or more vehicles from the dropdown
  2. Select Groups (Optional): Choose vehicle groups to include all their vehicles
  3. Set Date Range: Select predefined options or custom dates
  4. Click Show to generate the report

Stop Details

Each stop in the report shows:

  • Vehicle Name: Which vehicle stopped
  • Device ID: The GPS device identifier (shown when grouped)
  • Start Time: When the vehicle stopped
  • End Time: When the vehicle started moving again
  • Duration: How long the vehicle was stopped
  • Engine Hours: How long the engine ran during the stop
  • Address: Where the stop occurred
  • Location: Button to view the stop on a map

Viewing Stop Locations

Click the map pin icon on any stop row to see the exact location on an interactive map. The map appears above the table. This helps verify where stops occurred.

Grouped Results

When you select multiple vehicles, stops are grouped by vehicle:

  • Click the expand arrow to see individual stops
  • Each vehicle shows a summary of total stops
  • Makes it easy to compare stop patterns across vehicles

Exporting Reports

Use the dropdown menu next to the Show button:

  • Export: Download as an Excel spreadsheet
  • Print: Open a print-friendly version

Use Cases

  • Idle Time Monitoring: Identify vehicles with excessive idling (engine hours during stops)
  • Schedule Verification: Confirm vehicles stopped at expected locations
  • Unauthorized Stops: Spot unexpected or suspicious stops
  • Route Optimization: Find stops that could be eliminated to improve efficiency

Troubleshooting

No data found:

  • Check that vehicles were active during the selected dates
  • Verify the correct vehicles or groups are selected

Slow loading:

  • Large date ranges with many vehicles may take longer
  • Try narrowing the date range or selecting fewer vehicles
