Quick Start Guide
Follow these steps to start tracking your passengers' transportation.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Open NexaRide and choose how to register:
- Email: Enter your email and create a password
- Google: Sign in with your Google account
Step 2: Connect to Your Organization
Your transportation provider (school, company, or institution) will give you an organization code.
- Tap Organizations from the home screen
- Tap Add Organization
- Enter the organization code
- Tap Add to connect
If you have multiple organizations (e.g. different schools), you can add them all and switch between them from the header.
Step 3: Add Passengers
Add the people whose transportation you want to track.
- Tap Passengers from the home screen
- Tap + Add Passenger at the bottom of the screen
- Choose how to add:
Option A — Passenger Code: Enter the code provided by your transportation coordinator and tap Add by Code. This links the passenger to their assigned route automatically.
Option B — Manual: Fill in the name, email, and optional phone number, then tap Add Passenger. The passenger receives a verification email; tracking features unlock once they verify.
You can add as many passengers as you need.
Step 4: Assign Stops (if needed)
If your organization requires you to select pickup and drop-off stops:
- On the passenger's card, tap Stops
- Select the route from the dropdown at the top of the map
- Tap a stop marker on the map, then tap Assign Stop
Repeat for each stop and route.
Step 5: Start Tracking
Once your organization assigns your passengers to routes, route cards appear on each passenger's card.
- When the shift is active, tap the Track button on the route row to open the live map
- Outside the shift window, the Track button shows a countdown until the shift begins
Step 6: Enable Notifications
Stay informed about trips with push notifications.
- Open the menu (hamburger icon, top-left)
- Tap Settings → Notifications
- Toggle on the notification types you want
You're all set! NexaRide will keep you informed about your passengers' transportation in real time.
