Events Report

The Events Report shows all events and alerts generated by your vehicles and GPS devices. Events include speeding alerts, geofence entries/exits, ignition status changes, and more. Use this to monitor driver behavior, track vehicle status, and investigate incidents.

Generating a Report

  1. Select Vehicles: Choose one or more vehicles from the dropdown
  2. Select Groups (Optional): Choose vehicle groups to include all their vehicles
  3. Select Event Type: Filter by specific event type or choose "All Events"
  4. Set Date Range: Select predefined options or custom dates
  5. Click Show to generate the report

Event Types

Filter the report by these event types:

Device Status:

  • Device Online / Offline / Inactive
  • Device Unknown

Movement:

  • Device Moving
  • Device Stopped
  • Device Overspeed

Geofencing:

  • Geofence Enter
  • Geofence Exit

Fuel:

  • Device Fuel Drop
  • Device Fuel Increase

Engine:

  • Ignition On
  • Ignition Off

Other:

  • Alarm
  • Maintenance
  • Driver Changed
  • Command Result
  • Media

Event Details

Each event in the report shows:

  • Vehicle: Which vehicle generated the event
  • Device ID: The GPS device identifier
  • Event Type: What type of event occurred
  • Event Time: When the event happened
  • Details: Additional information about the event
  • Location: Map pin to view where the event occurred

Viewing Event Locations

Click the map pin icon on any event row to see where it occurred on an interactive map. This is especially useful for:

  • Verifying where speeding occurred
  • Checking geofence entry/exit locations
  • Investigating alarm events

Exporting Reports

Use the dropdown menu next to the Show button:

  • Export: Download as an Excel spreadsheet
  • Print: Open a print-friendly version

Use Cases

  • Speed Monitoring: Filter by "Device Overspeed" to find speeding incidents
  • Geofence Tracking: Monitor when vehicles enter or leave defined areas
  • Fuel Monitoring: Detect unexpected fuel drops (possible theft)
  • Device Health: Track when devices go offline or become inactive
  • Driver Behavior: Review ignition patterns and movement events
