Managing Passengers
The Passengers page lets you manage people who ride your vehicles. You can assign passengers to specific routes and stops, and configure email notifications when vehicles arrive at their pickup/drop-off locations.
Viewing Passengers
The Passengers table displays:
- Photo: Passenger's photo (if uploaded)
- Name: Passenger's full name
- Email: Contact email address
- Phone: Contact phone number
- Passenger Code: Unique identifier for the passenger
- Client: The organization the passenger belongs to
Viewing More Details
Click the expand arrow on any row to see additional information:
- Route: Which route(s) the passenger is assigned to
- Shift: The shift schedule for each route
- Stop: The specific pickup/drop-off stop(s)
Customizing Columns
- Click the Columns button above the table.
- Check or uncheck columns to show or hide them.
- Your preferences are saved automatically.
Searching for Passengers
Use the search field at the top of the page to find passengers by name, email, or phone number. Type your search term and press Enter.
Adding a Passenger
- Click the Add Passenger button.
- Complete the three tabs:
General Tab
- Photo (Optional): Upload a photo of the passenger
- Name (Required): Full name of the passenger
- Email (Required): Email address for notifications
- Phone (Optional): Contact phone number
- Passenger Code: Automatically generated unique identifier
Stops Tab
Assign the passenger to routes and stops:
- Select a Client from the dropdown.
- Click Add Stop.
- Select a Route from the dropdown.
- Select the Stop where this passenger boards or alights.
- Repeat to add multiple route-stop assignments if needed.
- Click the trash icon to remove any assignment.
Notifications Tab
Configure email notifications:
- Stop Arrival Email Notifications: Toggle on to send an email when the vehicle arrives at this passenger's stop.
Note: If your administrator has disabled notifications globally, this setting won't take effect and you'll see a warning message.
- Click Create Passenger to save.
Editing a Passenger
- Find the passenger in the table.
- Click the actions menu (three dots) in that row.
- Select Edit.
- Update information in any of the three tabs.
- Click Update Passenger to save.
Deleting a Passenger
- Find the passenger in the table.
- Click the actions menu (three dots) in that row.
- Select Delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Warning: Deleting a passenger removes all their route assignments and notification settings permanently.
Pagination
When you have many passengers, use the pagination controls at the bottom of the table to navigate between pages.
Permissions
You need the appropriate permissions to add, edit, or delete passengers. If these options are not visible, contact your administrator to request access.
