Overview

iButton is a compact, durable identification key that pairs with a 1-Wire reader to identify a driver or authorize vehicle use. Each key carries a factory-lasered, guaranteed unique 64-bit registration number, communicated over the 1-Wire protocol in under 5 ms. It is commonly used for driver authorization, immobilizer control, and auto geofencing that only disengages for an authorized key.
